WETH’S SUMMER HAIKU MADNESS CONTEST SERIES 2011
OFFICIAL RULEZ
1. Each contest in Weth’s Summer Haiku Madness Contest Series 2011 starts as soon as you see it and ends on or before 23 September 2010 at 9:04AM EDT. Any particular contest may end early if and when Weth’s Celebrity Panel of Judges ascertains a Winning Entry. Weth will start new contests when Weth sees fit to do so.
2. Entries must be in the form of a single, standard, 5-7-5 syllable haiku. Please direct your entries to winwithweth@verizon.net. You can probably also just walk up to Weth and hand your haiku to Weth on a piece of paper, if that’s convenient. Entrants may submit only one entry per day for only one of the active Contests, so choose your battles carefully. If you submit an entry that isn’t a haiku, Weth will likely criticize and mock your entry attempt. If you submit more than one entry per day, Weth is likely to configure an “ignore” script for your messages and/or contact the appropriate authorities.
3. Weth will empower a Celebrity Panel of Judges to choose Winning Entries. Their decisions, although often questionable and somewhat arbitrary, are binding. Complaining that you didn’t win a certain prize isn’t going to help your cause.
4. Entrants may win more than once over the course of the Contest Series. Weth may eventually ship your prize to you, if you provide Weth with a mailing address, but this is no guarantee. Weth still owes some folks items from 2009, so it’s in your best interests to bug Weth about it, or go visit Weth and pick up the prize yourself.
5. Void where prohibited. All rights reserved. By accepting your prize, you agree to use it in a responsible way and to not hurt yourself, or anyone else for all that matter. If you act like a big dummy with your prize and then go and try to sue Weth, that wouldn’t be very friendly or right of you, now, would it? So behave.
